XR Hackney & Tower Hamlets is part of an international movement. We are demanding urgent action on the climate crisis with a fast transition to clean energy, implemented in a way that’s fair for everyone.
We are a group of ordinary people who have got together to organise peaceful protests, raise awareness through public talks, and build solidarity with other organisations that share our aims.

How can we save ourselves? We want to empower our community to take charge and create the future we want. On 3rd December, we are holding a Community Assembly on our issues and concerns in Hackney & Tower Hamlets.
In a community assembly, active listening is used to connect people together and collect their stories and concerns, whatever they are. We will then bring common threads together and have people aim for an action around that theme.
